Project Management is a new branch.
Before management was approahed from the operational piont of view.
Organization structure was Functional based.
As Project Management started to be focused, organizational structure started to move towards Matrix (Weak, Balanced & Strong)
The highest level of power for projects should be in Projectized organization.

Now what is the most existing one of the five???
Actually these grouping is a theoritical categorization rather than actual one.
You will seldome see an organization which is purely Projectized.
As far the organization nature of work tend to be operational, Functional style will be there.
Most of organizations will be Matrix one.
It will not be Weak, Balanced or Strong, but it will be some thing mixed of all of them which is Composite organization structure.
So, composite organization is the most existing one.
Now we have a very important point to highlight, what type of organization, PMI recommend.
PMI recommends that organizations involved in project nature of work, should have a PMO (Project Management Office) which will be responsible about Project Management in the organization.
The most suitable organization to accomodate the PMO is either Strong Matrix or Projectized one.
In the exam if you need to assume an organization type, assume you are working in a strong matrix one.
We may have PMO in Weak or Balanced Matrix organization but with limited authorities over the projects not like the Strong matrix, where the PMO has high authority over the projects.

Please see PMBOK page 32 to see how PMBOK address the above issue.
